The architect was In Praise of Shadows Arkitektur, Katarina Lundeberg. The landscape was Alf Orvesten. The unique house was an ordinary single family house with a separate studio. The houses were located between the forest and the former old garden.

The most out of the landscape variation was made. The closed walls to the outer world and neighbours were turned. The family wished to create their own world; a designer and a art director, a living room for skateboard, a high room for kitchen, a sleeping room with roof light and art. In the space between the volumes, there were an outer room for recreation and play, with a character of Japan or Skåne. The house design denoted a big open space in height as well as length with functional interaction between kitchen, living and sleeping areas. A working studio connected to the double high kitchen. The materials were selected with a simplicity and roughness for an active family; concrete floors, mdf kitchen, outside wood panel in black oil paint, simple and sustainable Nordic

This wood panelled house and studio in Nacka, Sweden, was designed by Swedish studio In Praise of Shadows. The house was called Solbrinken Ordinary House. A gravel courtyard separated the residence and studio buildings. Both buildings showed large double-height glazed windows and sky lights. Photographs were by Björn Lofterud.
