The idea of museum interior was a new approach of traditionally cold and impersonal for this sort of space. It aimed to integrate the latest technology into it without making this visible.
The interior design was created to feel like home but the functional as well as flexible. The table with niches showed for privacy and concentration. Plenty of traditional table surfaces were provided for any other use. The concept should be as special and different as this museum. The most furniture elements were custom designed and manufactured for the center. A few of the custom furniture elements consisted of the multi-table, the magazine stands, the mirrors and vases as well as many other features. The space was residential feel and the quality of craft visible in every element
Surely, a special place was felt by the visitors when entered the place. A special art piece was positioned in the center. It was created as a gigantic hand made and hand painted vase that was one of a kind. It was dedicated to the Netherlands, my loved one and her loved ones.
The marble floors were formed in hexagon shapes. A royal feel to the public space was given. The copper lights, custom cinema and display cases around the room made a warm atmosphere. It fulfilled with light and energy.
The media center was a very special room for a very special museum…
Spanish designer Jaime Hayón designed the museum, for the newly renovated Groninger Museum in the Netherlands. The museum design showed long pendant lights hanging from a circular mirrored panel on the ceiling. In the middle of the room, desks with hoods, which covered computers made private booth-like spaces for browsing. Many of the pieces have been custom-made for the space, including the furniture, magazine stands, mirrors and a bespoke handmade vase.
