Eric T. Fishburn has designed Altis IV residences on Mammoth Mountain, California. Many people come there to enjoy the beauty of alpine landscape scenery. It is design to describe the natural lifestyle of this place. The design combines both classic aspect and modern aspect so that this residence looks very unique.

Large Low-E glass that is used in the design and abundant on the south facade intend on maximizing view and sun. We can see the beautiful scenery of Long Valley Caldera and White Mountains from the kitchen, dining, and living areas on the top floor. Another special design of this residence is a warm durable space that is created by Travertine and FSC. Softly backlit mahogany paneling on the top floor enhances the view of the stars at night by reducing glare on the windows.

The California clear heart cedar that is used in this design has special function as a local sourcing and create colorful of it’s exterior siding. Besides that, its natural ability can retard fire. Low VOC interior paints, sealers and finish reduced indoor toxins and provided the desired natural finishes and textures. We can get benefit from the comfortable atmosphere created by Hydronic radiant floor which is installed in every room with individual thermostats.
In short Altis is suitable for those who think much of natural environment and outdoor lifestyle. More Design of House, here
