This small penthouse called “The Ruiz-Maasburg Penthouse” is only 60 m2 inside and 50 m2 of terrace, located in the centre of Madrid.

The limited space inspired the architect, Hector Ruiz-Velasquez, to use basic theatre tricks like forced perspectives in order to achieve wider spatial perceptions.

The interior design is dominated by white colour and the lighting effect.

These two elements give a notion of wideness. Certain black points and surfaces are used to give scale and depth, thus create a complementary and melodic contrast.
