
In the crowded area of Tokyo, Japanese firm Takeshi Yamagata Architects has squeezed four buildings containing nine apartments.

The Kamitakada apartment sits on a 300 square-metre site and the dimension of the apartments ranging from thirty to sixty square metres.

Each flat has an enclosed private garden and entrance; thanks to curved and perforated steel fences with meander-like which across the site.

The building is functioned as a rental apartment for single and young couple in Tokyo. The construction of the apartment blocks is a steel-frame structure which range from two to four storeys.

The building was also designed to be resistant to earthquake by transmitting the earthquake power to the outdoor wall through a horizontal brace in the second floor level. The stable building is reached with the basics of structure that cropped out outdoors are united.
