This house project is a contemporary renovation of an existing residential building in the town of Empoli, Italy. The house is owned by Stefano, located in Navicelli road, between the historical center of Empoli and the Arno River. The old house was built in the earliest of 1960’s. The design of the renovation project was conveyed by Massimo Mariani Architects . The interiors are emptied entirely to recognize the interior floors height and the façade was turned in new façade without any increase of volume on the main front.
The building consists of three floors. Previously, this is a monofamiliar house then it turned into a bifamiliar house, with a few offices on the ground floor. The new house has dimension 200/220 square meters each. Each house has the entrance door along the main road as the garage and a service room. The living room, the dining room and the kitchen are housed in the first floor. A terrace with alumunium wall shield is placed along the main road. The upper floor is for night zone which is connected to the living room through the teak staircase.
